In the midst of the Indo-Pacific region and China’s military strength in the Indian Ocean, the Pentagon has reported that the US State Department, at the request of the Indian government, sold two of these military weapons. Permission has been granted.

The US State Department has confirmed the arrangement of Harpoon Block II Air Launched Missiles and Lightweight Torpedoes to India for about $ 155 million, or about Rs 1,180 crore. This enemy of boat rockets and torpedoes will be mounted in the Indian Air Force’s P-8I airplane. This airplane known as ‘Submarine Killer’

10-AGM-84L Harpoon Block II Air Launched Missiles, which have a range of about 124 km, will cost around 700 crores.

Simultaneously 16 MK 54 All Round Light Torpedoes (MK 54 All Up Round Lightweight Torpedoes) and 3 MK 54 Exercise Torpedoes will cost Rs 480 crore. In two separate notices sent to the US (Congress), the Defense Security Corporation organization gave this data.

The Pentagon said that India will use its increased ability to remove local terrorizations and protect its country. India will have no problem in uniting these weapons into its army.

According to the Pentagon, the Harpoon missile system would be connected to P-8I aircraft that would serve in combat on important sea lanes, which would widen the gap with the United States of America and other allied forces.

The Harpoon missile is built by the Boeing Company. It will be fitted in the Indian Air Force’s P-8I aircraft, which is the Indian version of Boeing’s P-8s. The 3.84-meter-long missile mounted in it has a penetrating capacity of 500 pounds. It also has heavy explosives on its warhead. It will be deployed in coastal defense.
